47% of parents of tweens reported that they had recently searched online for a nearby forest or park, up from 35% in 2011


Only 37% of African-American children ages 6 to 12 participated in outdoor recreation in 2011, compared to 67% of Caucasian children in the same age range. 

Discovering Nature’s African-American targeted campaign shows how the experience of exploring and discovery in the forest can open up children in this target to a world of possibilities; including their own limitless potential. Viewers are encouraged to visit, where they can find their nearest forest and get ideas for outdoor activities.
