Media Veteran Kathy Kayse Named Chief Media Strategy and Partnerships Officer at the Ad Council
New York, NY (April 9, 2019)– The Ad Council announced today that Kathy Kayse has joined the organization as Chief Media Strategy and Partnerships Officer. Prior to joining the Ad Council, Kayse was the Vice President of Sales Strategy and Solutions at Yahoo.
In this role, Kayse will oversee all media strategy and partner outreach while developing strategic partnerships across the entire media ecosystem on behalf of the Ad Council’s social issue campaigns. She will also serve on the Ad Council’s Leadership Team, guiding the non-profit on strategies and opportunities to identify and cultivate relationships with emerging companies and technologies that help achieve impact across the most pressing issues facing the nation. This includes testing new strategies, platforms and approaches in programmatic, mobile, VR and AI.

An accomplished media and advertising executive, Kayse has extensive cross-platform experience and has strategically transformed businesses and brands at every step of her career. Previously, Kayse was the Vice President of Sales Strategy and Solutions at Yahoo. Prior tothat, she was the Executive Vice President of Advertising Sales at Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) where she led the sales effort for the successful launch of the network, including its digital assets and Oprah.com. Kayse also spent 24 years at Time Warner, including executive sales roles at AOL and was the Publisher of People magazine.
